Youth Wellness and Resilience Program
The Somali Community in Hamilton is committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of our youth through the Youth Wellness and Resilience Program. This initiative focuses on creating a safe and culturally responsive space where Black and racialized youth can address their mental health challenges and build resilience in the face of life’s pressures.

Interactive sessions to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and provide practical coping strategies.
Culturally Tailored Counseling
Access to mental health professionals who understand the unique experiences of racialized youth.
Peer Support Groups
Opportunities for youth to share experiences, foster connections, and support one another in a judgment-free environment.
Stress Management & Mindfulness Activities

Parent & Caregiver Education

Through this initiative, we aim to empower youth to prioritize their mental health, develop emotional resilience, and build a strong sense of self-worth. Together, we can nurture a generation that thrives emotionally, socially, and mentally.
